Yee was in love with yoga ever since her first class back in 2009. To her, yoga is more than just a physical practice. She enjoys the body-mind connection that yoga brings to her. Yoga has always been part of her life, and even more so during her pregnancy. Yoga has helped her to cultivate mindfulness, which was very helpful in easing the discomfort during pregnancy and childbirth. Yoga has also supported her during postpartum and even in her motherhood journey. Therefore, she completed her mindful birth teacher training in 2017 and kids yoga teacher training in 2018, hoping to share yoga with many other pregnant women and families.
In Yee's class, she wants to cultivate self-compassion and mindfulness in each student. Practicing yoga is not about getting into the poses "perfectly". She believes every student should be empowered to make the mindful decision for oneself. She embraces differences, and she respects the uniqueness of each individual body. She believes yoga is for everyone.
